Died peacefully in hospice care on June 9, 2017. Born on lucky, Friday the 13th in October 1933, to Elizabeth Greenleaf O'Neill and Bert Wiley, he was a second generation Sacramentan. Bert and his wife Betty, graduated from Grant Union High School in 1951. He served in the Army as a paratrooper and in 1953, married Betty, sharing 56 years together before her passing in 2009. Bert later attended Grant Tech College and played football, and worked many years as a Teamster truck driver, retiring in 1995 from American Metals. One of his hobbies was...

Died peacefully in hospice care on June 9, 2017. Born on lucky, Friday the 13th in October 1933, to Elizabeth Greenleaf O'Neill and Bert Wiley, he was a second generation Sacramentan. Bert and his wife Betty, graduated from Grant Union High School in 1951. He served in the Army as a paratrooper and in 1953, married Betty, sharing 56 years together before her passing in 2009. Bert later attended Grant Tech College and played football, and worked many years as a Teamster truck driver, retiring in 1995 from American Metals. One of his hobbies was sprint cars and he formed many great friendships and memories working in the pits at local speedways. He is survived by four children: Robert, Cathryn (Bill) Keegan, Susan (Jerry) Feldmann, and Patricia (Dana) Nichol; three grandchildren: Jason (Samantha), Lauren and Diane (Brandon); three great grandchildren and many cousins. The family also extends appreciation to the staff whom he adored at Sunrise Senior Living, his Kaiser doctors and Vitas Healthcare. A visitation will be held on June 19, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. followed by services at 10:00 a.m. at Nicoletti Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd.
